Hi! Iim working as a Quantity Surveyor in a construction firm. Can anyone suggest a software to lessen my work

I handle tendering works, from estimates, obtaining material quotation from suppliers, purchasing, project cost control to preparation of progressive claims.

Sounds like you’re working in UK or India? I’m in the US, but if you are doing material take-offs some of the Software Programs the engineers use might be able to give you answers as to tonage of steel in a building (this is in RAM structural system), otherwise I’d have to suggest a custom spreadsheet, even if you started learning to make a spreadsheet for this purpose it would eventually pay off if you’re doing it wholly on paper & calculator now, but without better knowledge of your specific tasks I can’t give specific advice. I’m not even too sure what a Quantity Surveyor does. My only other suggestion is MEANS makes books useful for estimating construction cost, and they also have a program called CostWorks (I think) that is a sort of program that helps you work through MEANS that might be worth a look.
