Why does my old software download in Spanish on my new Acer? I live in Spain?

I have a Spanish keyboard with English operating system (Vista Home Premium). When I try to download my old software from the original c.d. roms I end up with a Spanish version. This software is a few years old and had now been on 3 different computers.
