how will we find if the employer has installed any spy software on office pcs?

how will anyone know whether an employer has installed ny kind of software which monitors the usage of office computers / crawil thru emails we send. We are not doing anything illegal. but we dont want the employer to spy on our personal emails / communication we do during lunch breaks.

There is very little doubt that your IT dept is monitoring your use of the computers. As he owns them your manager has a right to check what you do, legal or not. You should check your employment terms as it may stipulate that you can be dismissed for using the computers for personal use. Good luck and be careful.
